In this project I was exploring representations of altered perception.
The movements we practiced for the performance were inspired by Qi Gong.
We focused on extremely slow movements, where attention and patience were essential aspects of the process.
I aim to draw attention to the fact that the speed at which we move through our daily lives carries an overwhelming amount of information. Slowing down allows for increased awareness, which in turn leads to greater care and more conscious decision-making in everyday life.
This project was made possible with the special support of my friends Zoë Nowraty and Luisa Tschierschwitz.
The three of us performed together during the 2022 Rundgang and met weekly in preparation.
I want to express my heartfelt gratitude especially to Luisa, who encouraged me to keep going and deeply supported my ideas and concepts. She sadly passed away, and I am incredibly thankful for her immense support in my personal development and the strength she gave me during that time.
To add another layer to this new spatial experience, I wanted to create a world in which fast fashion has no place. Instead, I designed simple yet detailed outfits that we, as performers, can wear comfortably.
This project marks my first time working with multiple media.
The aim is to create spaces that have an unfamiliar impact on the visitor. In this case, the sense of tempo is influenced across several sensory dimensions. I recorded a soundscape using instruments that could be described as ambient meditation sounds. Once again, the aspect of speed plays a central role.

The performance lasted no longer than 15 minutes.
In the first part, we moved slowly through a choreography that was synchronized with the sound. In the second part, we invited the audience to interact with us.
After completing our “ritual”, we positioned ourselves in front of a large ceramic bowl. One person stood in front of the bowl, another spoke, and the third held the towel.
On the floor, there is a large jug filled with water.
One person from the audience steps in front of the handmade ceramic bowl. Their hands are held over the bowl, then water is poured over them from the jug, and another person gently dries their hands.
