In A Channel With Resonance, a space emerges in which the ambivalent tension between past and future, the familiar and the hyper-futuristically alien, is uniquely condensed. These opposites are deliberately juxtaposed.
The work is an expansive light installation composed of this main elements: the Christian tower, my sculpture, the light and the sound.
The Tower – It carries within it the legacy of Christian history. In the biblical sense, the tower symbolizes humanity’s attempt to become equal with God. I also find it compelling to perceive the tower symbolically as a “channel” – a conduit connecting the interior and exterior. The tower is open at the top.
My Sculpture – At the center of the tower’s spatial volume stands a custom-designed sculpture, composed of 340 metamorphically shaped layers of plexiglass and embedded with light. This abstract future-body points to the potential of the transcendent and the future within the here and now.
The Light – At the core of the installation are eight light tubes. I intentionally create an atmosphere through careful color selection and intensity, generating spatial tension that defines the room. The light emphasizes the connection between the sacred, historical space and my artificially created sculpture. For the design of the light I worked together with the professional designer Oskar Lohse.
The Sound - Thorsten Dussman create the sound, important for us was the association of a heart beat, of underwater and ambient sound, of deepnes, distance and closeness. The light reacts on the heartbeat and makes my sculpture alive.

The project explores how spaces lose resonance or take on new meaning when times, histories, and perceptions overlap. It is an artistic attempt to make visible the transitions between familiar cultural codes and possible future realities through light, form, and space.
My work is inspired in part by artists such as Dan Flavin, whose minimalist use of light as a sculptural material has strongly influenced me. For the development of my forms, I draw inspiration from Iris van Herpen, who also works with similarly repetitive elements and digital illustrations. Collectors and light art patrons Giuseppe and Giovanna Panza have also shaped and encouraged my artistic thinking through their approach to space, light, and perception.
